March 16, 2008

The 18th Abu Dhabi International Book Fair was held between 11-16 of March 2008, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) in the UAE. The event was inaugurated by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nayhan, Deputy Prime Minister.

ADIBF ended on Sunday 16th March 2008, celebrating yet another highly successful fair with impressive exhibitor figures, expanded exhibition space and more international publishers attending than ever before.

In November 2007, ADACH, the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage, and the Frankfurt Book Fair signed a deal to launch a joint venture company under the name of "KITAB". Due to this venture, the floor space of the book fair increased by 25 per cent along with an overwhelming reaction from exhibitors.

Rimal Publications was among 482 exhibitors from 42 countries participated in the Fair, with 159 publishers from outside the Arab world. The event was a great success for Rimal Publications, where visitors expressed interest in almost all of our publications, including an overwhelming focus on our rare and out-of-print-collection.

We look forward to participating at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair in the future.
