Another Success at the Sharjah Int'l Book Fair '08

The 27th Sharjah World Book Fair closed its doors on November 7, 2008, marking our second time to participate at the 10-day annual event. The first was held on December 5-15, 2006.

'Rimal has the most stimulating, engrossing, varied and eclectic collection of great books I have seen in a while at the Sharjah Book Fair.' - Dr. Ali Dabbagh, Book Fair Visitor.

The Organizing committee - Department of Culture & Information of Sharjah Government, under the direction of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah - continue to aim at cultivating reading habit among the youngsters, thereby preparing a culturally and educationally rich society.

This 10-day event, began in 1982 and is considered as one of the most successful book fairs organized in the region.

Our booth was strategically located in the International Section in Hall 3, with prominent direct neighbors such as the official stands representing His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi and the Government of Russia.

Rimal Publications, once again, established its presence through networking with regional and international publishers and distributers. Our diverse range of publications were appreciated by visitors and our rare and out-of-print collection sparked quite an interest for both participants and visitors alike.

We hope to join the upcoming Sharjah World Book Fair in 2009.
