Rimal + ORbooks partnership

We are delighted to announce that Rimal Publications and OR Books LLC of New York City today formally marks the formation of our new partnership and the strategic cooperation agreement to publish Rimal's English-language titles in the United States. Both companies unite experienced book publishers who at the same time are acknowledged innovators in the field. OR Books was founded in 2009 by John Oakes and Colin Robinson, longtime publishing professionals who were determined to try a radically different approach to the marketing and distribution of both print and ebooks: they emphasize selling direct to the consumer, do not accept returns and place a premium on marketing. Rimal, founded nineteen years ago by Nora Shawwa in Nicosia, Cyprus, specializes in history, art, culture, travel and children's books, and publishes in both English and Arabic. Its mission is to "introduce readers to the unique cultural richness of the Middle East and the countries of the Eastern Mediterranean."

"We're thrilled about this new connection," said Nora Shawwa, Rimal's publisher. "This partnership will help Rimal reach a new audience and at the same time save us money in terms of production and distribution."
