It is Arabic finally made simple and enjoyable for Children in the Arab world, and most importantly those residing overseas will enthusiastically improve their knowledge of the language.
The first comprehensive full-color illustrated Arabic/Arabic Dictionary for Children in the elementary and intermediate levels. The author, Dr. Elias, Professor at the Lebanese University , compiled the dictionary with 3,500 well researched entries in the best and most informative mode of definition and explanation.
It is the first dictionary that is accentuated all the way through and most importantly the entries follow the alphabetical order of the word not the root as is common in other dictionaries. For example, Madrasa (school in Arabic) will be found under the letter Meem and not through the root Darasa (Studied in Arabic) which is under the letter Dal.
Each entry is color coded in red. A word is followed by the definition, synonym and opposites where applicable, and an example. Hence every noun entry is formatted as follows: noun, definition, explanation and example. Every verb entry is formatted as follows: verb, definition, example and root. Adjectives and adverbs are presented at the end between brackets also in red.
The entries are supported by illustrations in nearly every page, and an easy to follow color-keyed guide to simplify the search for words. Furthermore, in the design of the dictionary, prior to each entry to a letter a calligraphy page introduces six different types in writing that specific letter.
