From Famagusta to Vienna
This book tells the story of a young man called Geroge who left Cyprus to study medicine in Vienna. Enamoured by the music and committed to his profession, George has no intention of returning to his homeland until the grim rise of fascism leaves him no choice. The events of this story take place upon his return to Cyprus in the 1940s, he meets young, bright and beautiful Kaety. There is obviously an attraction between them but George is unwilling to commit so he sends her to work at a hospital in Alexandria, Egypt.
