Hanifa Meslem

Hanifa was born in Algeria and grew up in her home country. For the last 36 years, she has been living in Dubai. Having arrived freshly graduated from the University of Algiers with a degree in scholastic psychology, Hanifa was young and newly married when she started teaching high school students.

Being part of the Readers Majlis Book Club in Dubai has been a very enriching experience for Hanifa, because in addition to reading, it opened up her ability to write. She participated as a co-author of Foodprints - A Collective Memoir; that was her first book and she hopes many more will follow.
