Hend Saeed
Hend Saeed is a writer, literary consultant and translator. Born in Baghdad, Iraq, she graduated from Mustansiriya University with a B.A. degree in translation, and immigrated after the Gulf War in the 1990s. Since she left her home town Baghdad, she lived in Jordan, Yemen, New Zealand, Australia and Dubai, during which she worked in different positions as translator and interpreter with New Zealand Immigration Appeal Authority and volunteered as Support worker with immigrant services from 1995-2004 till her last position as Arabic Program Manager with Emirates Airline Festival of Literature. She has published a collection of short stories and writes articles and reviews in a number of publications in Arabic and English.
