Suhail Bulos
Suhail Bulos grew up in Jerusalem amid the turmoil of Palestine during the British Mandate period. He recently retired after a 47-year career as an orthopaedic surgeon and professor at the American University of Beirut Hospital.
Dr. Bulos was appointed acting chairman of the Department of Surgery at AUBMC in 2005. He was instrumental in building up the Division of Orthopedic Surgery at AUBMC, and for 20 years he has been guiding senior AUB residents in orthopedics at the Agnes Hunt and Robert Jones Orthopedic Hospital at Oswestry, in the United Kingdom.
Dr. Suhail Bulos retired after a 47-year career as an orthopaedic surgeon and professor at the American University of Beirut Hospital. He and his wife, who live in Beirut, have three daughters and six grandchildren. Dr. Bulos enjoys recounting to them colourful stories about life in Palestine and Lebanon during the mid-20th century.
