Hanan Shihabi
After working for over forty years in the education sector, she retired and began to focus on the history of the Palestinian woman.
Hanan Assali Shihabi was born in Jerusalem four years before the 1948 Nakba. Her family moved from West Jerusalem to East Jerusalem after losing all their properties. She spent her childhood and youth in Jerusalem, where she completed her secondary education, then moved to Beirut to study at the American University of Beirut and received a bachelor's degree in science. Following the second Nakba in 1967, Hanan Assali Shihabi and her family moved from Jerusalem to Amman. After working for over forty years in the education sector, she retired and began to focus on the history of the Palestinian woman. This is her first published work.
